Why does this cause matter?

96% of disabled people 

face difficulties when traveling.

While travel can be stressful for lots of people, disabled travelers don’t have the same solutions available as typical travelers. In fact, for many disabled guests, there may not be a solution at all.

Disabled or chronically ill travelers (and their families and companions) will conservatively spend 1.5-2x MORE than a typical traveler, without the promise of a comparable experience.

and we are dedicated to bridging the gap to help find, create, and expand solutions…then, it won’t just be a hopeful statement, but reality.

how we began

Our big, adventurous family would travel every day of the year if we could. But when our third-born son, Jude, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder (Tuberous Sclerosis Complex) as an infant, we had to adjust everything in our lives from top to bottom.

The more we’ve traveled the more we realize the world isn’t really built for people like Jude, and families like ours. You see, Jude has multiple cognitive and physical limitations. These limitations require us to adapt most facets of our day-to-day and all of our travel. The last thing we want is for Jude to be left out or for our other kids to miss out. But, it happens every time we try to plan a trip.

We’re launching a new charity venture to help individuals and families like us find the respite they need in a world where everybody belongs. 

After helping some of the top brands tell stories for years (Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Lincoln, and more!), it’s time to bring some new stories to the world.

How will my donation be used?

Here’s where your money will go, and how it will make a difference. (Tap the + symbol next to each category for additional details.)

  • Key staff, organizational infrastructure. Having the right team is crucial.

  • Site visit and pilot mapping in USA and UK, Caregiver/Disability support network, partnership development. We are currently finalizing pilots in Dallas, Nashville, Orlando, Edinburg, and London.

    This funding helps us activate with organizations on the ground, and development host hospitality partners.

  • Fine-tuning our eight module internal training for hospitality teams, and guides for disabled travelers + carers.

  • Allowing our teams to provide in-person support for each pilot, and travel support for disabled pilot participants as-needed.

  • Compliance, insurance, and software/hardware isn’t very exciting, but without it, we can’t do this properly.

How does my donation help?

Development

  • What it covers: Pilot team, research and development, fundraising, and compliance.

  • Why we need it: At the most basic level, this is how we run the day-to-day. We think of these costs as the mission to activate the mission. Nothing we do happens without funding this first.

Care Support

  • What it covers: Travel and on-site accommodations for disabled participants.

  • Why we need it: Making sure all disabled guests who take part in our focus groups have what they need to participate as fully and comfortably as possible is the very first step to creating the lasting change we’re aiming for. This allows us to provide that support when it’s not readily available.

Sponsorship

  • What it covers: Awareness campaigns to make sure this message is one the world can no longer ignore.

  • Why we need it: Change can’t begin until people are paying attention. We get their attention by telling stories that stick about people and the solutions that truly bring about belonging.

For Everybody.Fund, this is year 0. We’ve much to learn and a long road ahead, but this is just the beginning. As we grow, the road becomes shorter, the challenges become less, and the impact of your generosity fueling this crucial work comes alive. Thank you for partnering with us.
