Francine is perfect for those looking to indulge in an upscale date night, vibey girl’s dinner, or an excuse not to cook for the night. Remy Lefebvre is kicking off 2024 with a new seasonal menu that is not to be missed. Ashley Kangas is taking you through her dining experience. Make a res & thank us later.

The Vibe

Located in the luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square, you feel a sense of opulence from the moment you enter Francine. Its moody yet airy ambiance is felt throughout the entire space. It’s the ideal place for a girl’s night or romantic dinner with your partner. The crowd was buzzing and the energy was palpable even on a Tuesday night.

Meet Michelin Star Trained Chef Remy Lefebvre

Francine welcomes Michelin Trained Executive Chef Remy Lefebvre who brings more than 20 years of global culinary experience at Michelin Star restaurants and luxury hotels like Raffles Hotel Singapore and AVA MediterrAegean.

“Cooking is my life and food is my culture,” said Chef Remy. “What I am able to do every day in the kitchen feels like magic and I am thrilled to be able to do what I love most of all here at Francine. Laurent has started something very special here and I’m excited to take it to the next level and introduce some new contemporary dishes.”

The New Seasonal Menu

Amongst the extensive new menu offerings, highlights include: Grilled Blue Prawns, Francine’s Rack of Lamb, Grilled Skuna Bay Salmon, seasonal Duck Pithiviers, and a new take on Tuna Tartare featuring white soy, lemon and avocado. This is just a taste of the delicious dishes you can expect from renowned Chef Lefebvre. As seasons change the menu will too, bringing a heightened sense of flavor to coincide with the weather. The Cocktails

I’m a mezcal drinker through and through. The Fire & Ice cocktail made with fresno infused mezcal, coconut infused cointreau, and grapefruit immediately caught my eye. It was flavorful, light, and not overly smokey.

Other stand out drinks include the Goodnight Gael made with tequila, lillet blanc, chamomile, maraschino, honey, and lemon; the Cafe Parfait made with tequila reposado, liquor 43, espresso, pumpkin spice foam; and the Autumn in Azur made with orange aperitivo, allspice liqueur, sparkling wine.

The Appetizers

If there’s goat cheese in a dish, I’m ordering it. The Whipped Goat Cheese with tomato, cucumber, and flatbread definitely satisfied my craving. The vegetable toppings really brought this dish to the next level. The Tuna Tartare is not something I would typically order but I’m glad I tried it – very light and fresh. Choose from other apps like the Smoked Eggplant, Warm Olives, Grilled Octopus, and Crab Taramasalata with Socca.

The Mains

As a recovering vegetarian, now a pescatarian, I try to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to ordering fish at a restaurant (which, to me, is anything other than salmon). I opted for the fluffy, flavorful Chilean Sea Bass paired with a side of brussel sprouts. For the meat lovers out there, choose from options like the Rack of Lamb, Steak Frites, or Two Wash Ranch Chicken. For my vegetarians/vegans out there, you are not an afterthought. Dishes like Mushroom Rigatoni with truffle, Fire Roasted Cauliflower, Green Salad, and a Chopped Spinach Salad will more than satiate your appetite.

The Dessert

I typically choose more appetizers over dessert, but when dining at a French restaurant dessert is a must. We went all in on the Classic Profiterole with chocolate syrup and enjoyed every bite of it. Other delicious desserts include Crème Brûlée with lavender and apricot, a lemon tart, and Chocolate Pot De Creme with hazel crumble and Grand Marnier chantilly.

Accessibility & Dietary Accommodations

There are a few different ways to access the restaurant, all comfortable for those in wheelchairs. You can enter through the free parking garage underneath Scottsdale Fashion Square’s luxury wing and take an elevator up to the main level of the restaurant. Your other option is to enter from the valet area, right outside the restaurant for direct sidewalk access.

The beauty of a Mediterranean infused menu is that it by default offers dining options for anyone with any dietary restrictions. There are endless options for vegetarians, vegans, and those who are gluten free among other allergies. Definitely inform your server ahead of time and the Chef is happy to accommodate.
