Perched over the shoreline of York, Maine is an idyllic getaway perfect for everything from a family getaway to a romantic holiday. Uninterrupted views of the Nubble Lighthouse make you feel like you’re the only person around at The Viewpoint Hotel. The Rooms

The Viewpoint is comprised of two types of accommodations: the Boutique Suites housed in a charming Victorian building perched on a hill overlooking the scenic coastline and the Shoreside Rooms in a sleek in-ground building camouflaged into a seaside cliff. Every room has a stunning view of the iconic Nubble Lighthouse.

Poolside Ocean Views

Loungy and chic, the property’s pool has great views of the rocky waterfront. Chic striped towels, lounge chairs, and umbrellas round out the perfect laid back day.

Little Auk

A repurposed vintage Airstream serves as the kitchen for this super vibey outdoor restaurant. If you can pry yourself away from the pool, grab a smattering of delish seafood dishes and a cocktail for a decadent lunch (or dinner) with views to match.

Amenities

The Viewpoint might be a small property, but it’s packing some serious amenities. Access to their private beach club, complimentary bikes, on demand beach transportation, and a weekday co-working space make these lush accommodations feel like home.

Accessibility and Dietary

Finding ADA rooms in historic New England is difficult, but The Viewpoint updated its property to include two rooms designed for guests with limited mobility. Shoreside 01 and Suite 108 are fully ADA compliant rooms equipped with a wheel-up sink, support bars, no threshold shower with support bars, and a fold-down seat. The counter height is also lower and features additional space for mobility.

York is a seafood town, but guests with an allergy won’t have any problem finding something delicious at Little Auk. The on-site restaurant also offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free, and dairy-free options.

The Nubble Lighthouse

If the view from your room isn’t enough, walk (or drive) down to the Nubble Lighthouse Visitors Center to learn more about the rich history of one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country. Pack a picnic and enjoy the serene sounds of the waves crashing against the rocky coast.
