Everywhere To Eat, Drink, & Hang In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Pack your bags, we’re going to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! I'm so excited to share my favorite spots I repeatedly recommend to friends traveling there, especially SUR Beach House and Rooftop 360.

My top tip is to stay downtown (stay at Corazon Cabo Resort & Spa!) because that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time exploring beach bars, restaurants, shops, water activities, and nightlife. Hotels can assist with transportation if there are specific mobility concerns and advise which paths will be easiest to navigate.

Luxe Hotel Life

  • Waldorf Astoria Pedregal: Amazing location and walkable to downtown. Every room comes with a private plunge pool. Delicious food served poolside and cliffside.

  • The Cape, A Thompson Hotel: Cabo’s most famous rock formation, El Arco, is on full display from most of the 161 hotel rooms, suites and villas. The rooftop is a must!

  • Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection: The only private beach resort in Los Cabos. 6 restaurants on property exuding culinary excellence and artful presentations. Unreal spa.

  • Viceroy Los Cabos: The most insane pool you will ever encounter.

The Reasonable Collection Hotels

  • Corazon Cabo Resort & Spa: Infinity pools, epic sunset views, and multiple (accessible) suite options. You already know their Rooftop 360 is my fave bar in Cabo!

  • Bahia Hotel & Beach House: Home to SUR Beach House and Bar Esquina, we love this hotel for its bars, restaurants, and amenities.

  • Casa Dorada Resort & Spa: Bright, expansive suites, and ocean views. Right on Médano Beach; you can walk to a ton of bars, restaurants, and massage spots.

Can’t Miss Bars & Restaurants

  • SUR Beach House: Our favorite place to spend the day. Hang out on the beach and have sushi delivered right to your chair.

  • Tres Sirenas: Indoor/outdoor beachy restaurant featuring live entertainment and fresh fish.

  • El Farallon: One of the most beautiful restaurants in Cabo. Dine cliffside overlooking the ocean.

  • Outpost: Bohemian style bi-level restaurant. The margaritas are to die for!

More Can’t Miss Bars & Restaurants

  • The Office on The Beach: A Cabo right of passage, this place is perfect any time of the day. Eat and drink with your toes in the sand.

  • Bar Esquina: Exceptional food, amazing cocktails, an extensive wine list, and live entertainment - need we say more?

  • The Rooftop 360: Expansive bar offering 360-views of Cabo.

  • Bagatelle: If your idea of a good time is dancing on tables, this is the place for you.

  • Il Forno: The best pasta you’ll find in Cabo.

Must Do Activities

There are endless activities for couples, friends, and families in Cabo ranging from super chill to wildly adventurous. My vibe includes massages on the beach, ATVing, jet skiing, and having lunch at SUR Beach House. You can just show up to the beach anytime and there are people to assist with anything you have in mind.

Stand out accessible activities include the Sunset Pirate Ship Cruise, tequila tastings, exploring the marina, and whale watching cruises. Mr. Yates Tours offers lots of accessible activities for different needs – send them a DM and tell them @disco_infern0 sent you!

How to Get Here & Around

Wherever you’re coming from, you’ll want to fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). If you’re traveling in a wheelchair, check if the airline will de-plane on the tarmac or via jet bridge. If you’re de-planing on the tarmac make sure they have an electric lift. The airport itself is all level ground so once you’re off the plane there should be no issues navigating the airport with a wheelchair.

Cabo San Lucas is about a 45-minute drive from SJD. Uber is not available for pick-up, however, it can drop you off at the end of your stay. To get to your hotel, hire an independent driver standing outside the airport when you land, wait for an official taxi at the stand, or you can pre-arrange transportation with your hotel. Once you are in the downtown area, Uber is a super cheap way to get around!

Accessibility & Dietary

For those with mobility issues, Cabo’s downtown area has challenges to be aware of but it isn’t off-limits if you’re prepared. Some sidewalks have holes in unexpected places, curbs can be uneven, not all corners have ramps, and there are some steep hills.
The marina downtown is very flat with even sidewalks. It offers shops, bars, restaurants, a mall, beautiful views, and access to tons of boats. Hotels will vary in accessibility but the majority are very compliant and offer accessible pathways, rooms, elevators, and concierge assistance.

There is something for everyone to eat in Cabo so those with dietary restrictions need not worry. There are places for vegetarians, vegans, kosher, gluten-free, and more. Vegans and vegetarians will love Outpost.
