Welcome to Phoenix’s newest cocktail lounge, Tell Your Friends. This intimate spot features a DJ set on Wednesdays and live entertainment Thursday through Sunday. Wednesday’s tables are first come, first served, but the rest of the time you will want to make a reservation ahead of time on OpenTable. Book in advance because this spot fills up fast and it’s easy to see why. Cheers!

Speakeasy Vibes

Located beneath neighborhood favorite The Americano Restaurant, Tell Your Friends offers a cocktail-centric experience you don’t want to miss.

Enter through a nondescript side door and descend the velvety stairs and hallway to arrive at this lavish setting. The nights come alive with electric performances, where talented vocalists, musicians, and entertainers sing impressive renditions of your favorite songs.

Cocktails

If creative cocktails are your thing, you’ll love this menu, which features custom creations and traditional classics. Led by one of the Valley’s most awarded bartenders, Keifer Gilbert, the cocktail-driven menu showcases 20 unique drinks.

Our favorites were the Ripping Darts made with vodka, mezcal, green chile, kiwi, genepy, and lime, and the Hops to the Beat made with tequila, citra hops, serrano, pineapple, lime, and salt. There’s also an extensive wine and champagne menu, plus two zero-proof spirits.

The Food

Choose from a selection of small upscale and delicious bites created by culinary celebrity, Beau MacMillan. Rediscovering his fine-dining roots, MacMillan adds luxurious touches to familiar favorites, creating a dining experience that balances sophistication with comfort.

Dishes include Korean Fried Chicken, Fire-Roasted Oysters, Vodka-Cured Salmon & Potato ‘Pizza’, and a trio of Dips & Chips. My favorite was the Truffle Mac and Cheese, which was as good as it sounds.

Accessibility & Dietary

There’s a small selection of vegetarian and gluten-free friendly items on the menu, but most of the dishes feature fish and meat. Everything is super fresh and flavorful.

Tell Your Friends is only accessed via stairs and since it isn’t a full-service restaurant (the bar bites menu is meant to complement the cocktails), they are limited to accommodating special dietary requests. The cocktail lounge is under its sister restaurant The Americano, which accommodates guests with limited mobility (on the ground level) and dietary preferences/needs.

Need Know Info

Regular hours of operation are Thursday through Sunday, 5 pm until late with live music from 8 pm to 12 am. Reservations are limited to 90 minutes from the original start time, regardless of arrival time (don’t be late!!). We highly recommend booking ahead of time through OpenTable.

Due to popular demand, they are now open on Wednesdays! No reservations necessary as this night’s seating is on a first come first served basis. Unlike the other nights, there is no live music, no table minimums, and no seating time limits. Enjoy your cocktails and food at your leisure as you listen to a DJ set.
